Deleting your account is permanent. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore a deleted account.
From inside the app
The fastest way, and the one we recommend:
- Open TypeCut and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm.
Deletion happens immediately. You will be signed out as soon as it completes.
By email
If you cannot reach the app — you have lost the device, or can no longer sign in — email pavankumarhox56@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account.
We will confirm and action it within 30 days, and normally much sooner. We may ask a question to confirm the request is genuinely yours — that check protects your account from someone else deleting it.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity
- Your email address and display name
- Caption presets you saved to your account
- Your transcription usage history
- Your record of accepting the terms
All of it is removed together. We do not keep a shadow copy of a deleted account.
What stays on your device
Your projects, their captions, and any videos you exported live on your device — they were never on our servers, so deleting your account does not touch them.
To remove those too, delete each project inside the app, or uninstall TypeCut.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. Deleting your TypeCut account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Google Play or App Store account settings, or you will continue to be charged.
Retention after deletion
Account data is removed at the time of deletion. Backups are cycled out within 30 days. Anonymous crash and analytics records, which contain no account identifier and no media, follow the retention schedule described in the Privacy Policy.
